01Scope and contact
This policy applies to the FaxPro app and this website. “FaxPro”, “we”, and “us” refer to the operator of this service. For privacy questions or requests, email faxpro@thehelfapp.com or use our support form.
02The short version
Your documents stay on your device until you send a fax. Sending transmits the document to our fax provider so it can reach the recipient. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or require a sign-in account. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your payment card details.
03Information on your device
FaxPro stores documents and scans, drafts, fax history, recipient numbers, timestamps, saved contacts, settings, credit balances, and purchase history locally. Text recognition uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework. Document content is not sent away for recognition. Device backups may include app data, depending on your settings.
A random installation identifier and some credit and purchase records are stored in the Keychain and may remain after uninstalling. Deleting the app removes its local document and database storage, but does not automatically remove Keychain items, backups, Apple purchase records, or provider-held copies.
04Permissions you control
Camera access lets you scan; photo access lets you attach images; contacts access lets you select recipients. These permissions are optional and requested for the relevant feature. Your full address book is not uploaded. The selected fax number and any name included in a fax are transmitted when you send it.
Optional App Lock uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. We cannot access your biometric data. Live Activities can show fax names and status on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. In the current version, these are updated locally, without a remote push token. Manage permissions and visibility in iOS Settings.
05Sending a fax and service providers
When you send, the app transmits a PDF, recipient fax number, subject, sender and recipient names, cover-page text, caller ID, and page-quality setting to iFax. A scheduled fax also includes the scheduled time. Status, resend, download, or deletion requests use the related fax or transaction identifier. Where installation tagging is configured, the installation identifier accompanies fax jobs. The provider can also receive technical data such as your IP address.
The current app communicates directly with iFax, without a separate FaxPro document backend or server-side wallet. A local copy remains on your device. iFax may retain documents and transmission records. See the iFax privacy policy.
Firebase Remote Config retrieves app configuration and processes an installation identifier and technical service information, potentially including IP address and app or device information. Documents and address-book contacts are not sent to Remote Config. The current app does not use Firebase Authentication or Cloud Messaging. See Firebase privacy information. There are no integrated advertising or analytics SDKs.
06Purchases, support, and this website
Apple’s StoreKit provides transaction information, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase dates, and subscription status, to verify purchases and manage credits. Apple handles billing under its own policies.
If you email or submit our support form, we receive what you choose to share to answer your request. Google processes form submissions under its privacy policy. Please avoid sending full documents or unnecessary sensitive information to support.
This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies, embed tracking SDKs, or collect documents through an upload form. The hosting infrastructure may process connection data, such as IP addresses and request information, to serve and protect the website. External links take you to services with their own policies.
07Retention and international processing
Local documents and fax records remain until you delete them or uninstall the app, subject to the Keychain and backup exceptions above. Removing local data does not automatically erase provider copies. Deleting a sent fax from its detail screen requests deletion through the iFax API; provider logs, backups, and legally required records remain subject to its policies.
Firebase service data and Apple purchase records follow their respective retention policies. Support correspondence is kept as needed to address requests and meet applicable obligations. Service providers may process information outside your country; review their linked policies for details. We do not promise immediate deletion of all third-party records after uninstalling.
08Security and children
The app uses iOS file protection, optional App Lock, Keychain storage for credentials and identifiers, and HTTPS for its standard iFax and Firebase connections. No system or fax transmission is completely secure. Once delivered, a document is also under the recipient’s control. Check the recipient and consider the sensitivity of a document before sending.
FaxPro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
09Your choices and rights
You can manage iOS permissions and remove local documents and drafts. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, restrict or object to processing, and complain to a data protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact us to discuss data held by us or our providers. We will help identify relevant records and respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
10Changes
We may update this policy as FaxPro changes. The date above identifies this version. Material changes to app data handling will be communicated in the app.
